![[Soft music] Life has a way of keeping us ‘busy’. I find it extremely important to be able to just pause and take in God’s beauty around us and do something that brings peace and joy to the soul. Yesterday, I put together my very first vegetable/herb garden. It took me a bit to assemble the deck planter box.
My husband, Andy, was the gardener in the family. He used to enjoy seeing the fruits of his labor and picking ripened vegetables from the garden. I would walk out with him to the backyard with my bucket and he would pick the vegetables that were ripe and put them in the bucket I was carrying. Although it may seem simple, they were precious moments and we really enjoyed that time together. This gave us time to pause and just look at all the beauty of nature around us. I wouldn’t trade anything for those moments in time and truly wish we would have had more time together. Please take time with your family and loved ones. In my Corporate days, I used to mention to different colleagues that ‘work will take as much as you give it (with no bounds)’. It’s important to put ‘bounds’ around how much work does take. We never know how long our loved ones will be with us.
