Description

The high-quality Chosen Leatherwork Leather Fishhook Key Chain, Belt Clip in BRASS or NICKEL hardware features a large solid brass fishhook (2.75″ L) to attach to the belt or belt loop and a solid iron key ring (1.25″ D).  We use Newbury South Street leather with a light and natural finish/protection on the edges.  The leather key chain is sized at approximately 6.75″ L x 1.5″ W (key ring). The total leather used is 7.5″ L x .75″ W and then folded using a solid brass Chicago screw to each side of the fishhook and key ring. The brass key chain has natural brass, flat-top, mini-Chicago screws and the nickel key chain has regular size, classic top nickel-brass Chicago screws.

The key chain has a smaller CL logo on the backside of the leather. The leather and key chain are made in the USA.

Leather Specifications

South Street leather is an exclusive leather developed specifically for Buckleguy. It is a hot stuffed pull up leather, tripled waxed, and oiled. Buckleguy added a lanolin coating that adds both a waxy texture to the surface, but also provides a natural oil to the leather protecting the leather from dying out. The leather is produced at a multi-generational tannery here in the USA. All leather hides come from the USA.

To condition the leather, we use Smith's All-Natural Leather Balm made in York, Maine. Smith’s Leather Balm is a non-toxic leather conditioner designed to restore worn leather and protect new leather goods. Made with only 3 all natural ingredients, it can be applied safely by hand without a rag. The balm is a neutral color. Ingredients: 100% organic cocoa butter, 100% organic beeswax, and 100% pure sweet almond oil.
