The tannery, Conceria La Perla Azzurra is in Santa Croce sull’Arno (Area of Tuscany) and was established in 1967. There is a choice of Country Hickory or Country Nero (Black) vegetable tanned leather.

Tanning: Vegetable Tan
Temper: 1-10 Scale: 6
Country Nero (Black) or Hickory – Country is first milled, which softens the leather and gives it a natural grain, and then it is buffed on the underside to give it a smoother touch. The leather is beautiful to the touch. It has a natural sheen and little to no pull-up when folded. While the Country has less of a pebbled look, there are parts of the cowhide exhibiting a more pebbled look.
